There is nothing to install and nothing to run: no server, no licences, no mail administrator. And accounts are added one at a time as the team grows, rather than in a plan you buy ahead of needing.
Yes — mailboxes are addresses on a domain, so mail cannot be set up without one. You can use a domain already on your account, point one you hold elsewhere, or search for a new name during setup.
Per account, per month. There are no tiers to choose between — every account is the same mailbox — so you pick how many people need one and the rate is the one for that many. It falls as the number goes up, and committing to a longer term lowers it again. The rate for your number is shown before you order.
Through webmail at webmail.yourdomain.com, signing in with the full address and its password. It is built for a browser on any device, so a phone or a tablet needs nothing installed. Any standard mail application works too.
Five gigabytes, per mailbox rather than pooled across the account, and the mail is backed up behind that. If one person needs more, storage is extended on that mailbox alone in five-gigabyte blocks — get in touch and we will add them.
Outgoing mail normally goes over port 25. Some networks and internet providers block it, and port 587 is the alternative for sending in that case.
Yes to both. A mailing list can be created with its own members and a moderator, and any mailbox can be given an automatic reply that goes out as soon as a message arrives — the usual reason being that somebody is away.
Unsolicited bulk mail is not permitted, and that includes purchased lists and lists described as safe. An account used to send it can be suspended, so if you plan to send campaigns, use a service built for them and keep this mailbox for correspondence.
