Per user, per month. The figure on each plan is one seat, so a team of ten is ten times that. Both a monthly and an annual term are sold, and the annual term carries the lower monthly rate.

Thirty gigabytes on Business Starter, two terabytes on Business Standard and five on Business Plus. The allowance is per user, and it covers everything the account holds — mail, Drive files, photos, recorded meetings — rather than mail alone.

Titan is mail, calendar and contacts, priced low per mailbox. Workspace is a whole productivity suite around the mail — documents, storage and meetings — and is priced accordingly. If you only need reliable addresses, Titan is the smaller commitment.

Google's business suite, sold as one account per person. Gmail on your own domain, Drive for files, Docs, Sheets and Slides for documents, Meet for video, Chat for messaging, Calendar for scheduling, and an admin console over all of it. It is the same software a great many people already use at home, with the controls a business needs added to it.

A free account is personal and belongs to the person who opened it. Workspace gives the address to the business: it ends in your own domain, and an administrator can create, suspend and recover accounts as people join and leave. The rest follows from that — far more storage, security and device controls, Gemini in the apps, and a company that answers when something breaks.

The free apps are built for a person, not a company. What the paid plans add is ownership and control: an address at your own name, an administrator who can get into an account after somebody leaves, storage measured in terabytes rather than gigabytes, the security certifications your customers may ask about, and support you can call. If none of that applies to you yet, the free tools are genuinely fine — this is not a product everybody needs.

Yes. Mail, contacts and calendars come over from most providers, and we will do the move with you rather than hand you a tool and a link. Tell us who you are with now before you order, because the answer differs by provider and it is better known in advance than discovered on the day.

No messages are lost, and here is what actually happens rather than a promise that nothing changes. Your existing mail keeps flowing while the new accounts are built and filled. At the cutover the domain is pointed at Google, and that takes a few hours to reach everybody on the internet — during which a sender whose network has not caught up yet delivers to the old server. Those are collected and follow you over. So: no loss, no gap in what you can read, and a short window where a message may arrive later than usual.

It runs on Google's own infrastructure, which is as good as this gets commercially: data encrypted in transit and at rest, two-step verification for accounts, and phishing and malware detection in front of the inbox. Google certifies the platform to ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 and contracts on GDPR terms — those are Google's certifications covering Google's platform, which is the part that matters here, and they are worth checking directly if you are answering a security questionnaire with them.

Yes, from one console. Add and remove people, reset access, set what each group can reach, and enforce rules on the phones, tablets and laptops that hold company mail — including wiping an account off a device that has been lost or has left with somebody. This is the part that free accounts have no answer for, and it is usually the reason a business moves.

Google includes Gemini in these Business plans at no extra charge — in Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Meet, where it drafts, summarises a long thread, and takes notes in a meeting. That is Google's inclusion on Google's terms rather than something this store adds or prices, and Google has changed what sits in which plan before. If you are buying for it specifically, say so and we will confirm the current position against your plan before you order.

Yes, and it is the thing people miss most when they go back. Several people open the same document, spreadsheet or presentation and type in it at the same time; every change appears to everyone as it is made, with a history of who changed what. It replaces the round of attachments where nobody is sure which copy is current.
